1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Exam Ladder (“Service”, “Platform”), operated by Omnify Labs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17389917) whose registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, contactable at contact@examladder.co.uk (“we”, “us”, “our”), you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”), and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will email registered users at least 30 days before a material change takes effect. If you do not accept it, you may cancel before it takes effect and we will refund the unused part of any period you have paid for. Changes we make to comply with the law, or that do not reduce your rights, may take effect sooner. Continuing to use the Service after a change has taken effect means you accept it.

2. Description of Service

Exam Ladder is an adaptive GCSE Mathematics revision platform providing practice questions, mock examinations, AI-powered tutoring, spaced repetition scheduling, and progress analytics. The Service is intended to assist students preparing for GCSE Mathematics examinations set by the AQA, Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas examination boards.

3. Accounts and Registration

To access the full Service you must register for an account. You agree to: (a) provide accurate, current, and complete registration information; (b) maintain and promptly update your account information; (c) keep your password confidential and not share it with any third party; (d) notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account; and (e) accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or have been inactive for more than 24 months.

4. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation

Free Trial. New accounts receive a 7-day free trial. You choose a plan and provide payment details to begin the trial, but you are not charged anything during it. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically at the end of the seven days and the card you provided is charged the price shown when you signed up. We tell you the exact date and amount before you enter your card, and we email you before the trial ends. You can cancel at any time during the trial in Settings → Manage Subscription; cancel before it ends and you are charged nothing.

Paid Plans. Following the trial period, continued access requires a paid subscription. We offer two plan tiers:

• Basic: £8.99/month or £79/year
• Premium: £16.99/month or £139/year

Billing. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your payment card details. Prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time via Account Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and your access continues until then.

Your 14-day right to cancel. Because you are buying online, you have a legal right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to cancel within 14 days of purchase and receive a refund. This right is unconditional — you do not have to give a reason. To use it, email support@examladder.co.uk within 14 days.

If you ask us to start your subscription immediately during those 14 days, you can still cancel, but we may keep a proportionate amount for the period you had access. If you have not used the service at all, you get a full refund.

After 14 days. You can cancel at any time and keep access to the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-used periods after the 14-day window, though you can always contact support@examladder.co.uk if something has gone wrong.

Price Changes. We will give at least 30 days’ notice of any price increase, sent to the email address on your account.

5. Refer a Friend

How it works. Every account has a referral link in Account Settings. If someone signs up using your link and enters your code once their free trial has started, you each receive 7 extra days of free trial. Extra days are added to the Basic trial. They do not unlock Premium features, which are the AI tools.

What the extra days actually do. A free trial requires card details, and nothing is charged during it. Bonus days move your first payment back by the same number of days — so 7 bonus days means the first charge is taken 7 days later than it would have been, at the price shown when you signed up. Your card is never charged for taking part.

Who can take part. Anyone who holds an Exam Ladder account. You must be 13 or over to hold an account at all. There is no cost to take part and no purchase is necessary, for you or for the person you refer.

Nobody has to buy anything. This is an offer of extra free trial days, not an invitation to buy a subscription or to ask anyone else to buy one for you. Starting a trial does require card details, and someone will need a parent or carer’s permission to use their card — but nothing is charged for taking part, and no payment of any kind earns anybody bonus days. Please do not ask a parent, carer or anyone else to pay for a subscription in order to take part — it would not earn you anything, because the reward is triggered by a sign-up, not by a payment. If you are under 16, check with a parent or carer before sharing your link.

Limits. These apply and are enforced automatically:

• You can use one referral code, once, and only while a free trial is actually running on your account. A code cannot be applied before you have started a trial, after it has ended, or once you hold a paid subscription.
• You cannot use your own code.
• You can earn trial extensions from a maximum of 10 referred sign-ups. Your link keeps working after that; it simply stops adding days for you.
• Your extension is added when your friend enters your code, not when they pay. We do not pay commission and there is no cash alternative.
• To earn days from a referral your own free trial has to still be running. If your trial has already ended, or you have converted to a paid subscription, your link still works for your friend and they still get their days — there is simply no trial of yours left to extend, and we do not credit the amount against a subscription instead.

Your friend’s details stay with you. We do not ask you for anyone else’s name, email address or phone number, and we never contact someone because you referred them. You share your own link, yourself, with people you choose. The only thing we record is that an account signed up with a code.

Fair use. Extra trial days are for referring real people. We may withhold or remove bonus days, and may close accounts, where we see accounts created to farm referrals — for example multiple accounts made by the same person, or addresses that do not belong to a real student.

Changes and withdrawal. There is no closing date at present. We may change or withdraw this offer at any time, and we will publish any change on this page before it takes effect. Trial days already added to your account will not be taken away because the offer ends.

6. School and Institutional Licences

Schools and other educational institutions may purchase multi-seat licences. School licences are subject to a separate School Licence Agreement which supplements these Terms. The school administrator is responsible for ensuring that all student users under the licence comply with these Terms. Student accounts created under a school licence are governed by these Terms and the relevant parental consent and data processing provisions.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its related systems; (c) scrape, copy, distribute, or resell any content, questions, or data from the platform; (d) use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Service; (e) share your account credentials with other persons; (f) post, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that is offensive, harmful, or infringes third-party rights; or (g) interfere with the operation of the Service.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service — including but not limited to question banks, AI-generated explanations, learning algorithms, software, graphics, and user interface design — is owned by or licensed to Omnify Labs Ltd and is protected by UK and international intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only.

Mathematical formulae and examination board specifications remain the property of their respective owners. Past paper content is reproduced under applicable fair dealing or licensing provisions.

9. Educational Disclaimer

Exam Ladder is designed as a supplementary revision tool. We do not guarantee specific examination grades or outcomes. AI-generated explanations and feedback are provided for educational guidance only and may occasionally contain errors. Students should cross-reference with their teacher, school, and official examination board materials. The Service should complement, not replace, formal education.

10. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

If you are a consumer, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that these Terms do not affect. The Service must be of satisfactory quality, fit for the purpose we describe, and as described — and if it is not, you may be entitled to a repair, a replacement or a reduction in price. Nothing below limits those rights or the remedies that come with them.

Subject to the above: we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you started using the Service, or for business losses such as lost profit, business or goodwill. Our total liability for any other claim arising from these Terms will not exceed the greater of £100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

11. Termination

We may suspend or end your access immediately and without notice if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, if the law requires it, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect a child, another user, or the Service itself.

In any other case we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before ending your subscription, and we will refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.

If we suspend or end your access and it later turns out we were wrong to, we will restore it and refund you for the time you lost.

You may close your account at any time in Settings. Provisions that by their nature survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, the educational disclaimer, and the limits in section 9 as they apply to events before termination.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may bring court proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live — England and Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland — and we will bring any proceedings against you in those same courts. If you are not a consumer, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
